Disconnected Generation follows the journey of a young girl, Sasha, growing up immersed in technology. Using a wearable AI device called “contact”, she lives her life by connecting with holographic friends, writing AI-assisted essays for school, and even has a custom-made AI boyfriend. For Sasha, her screen time starts when she opens her eyes.
But as time passes, the convenience turns into isolation. As Sasha becomes increasingly dependent on contact, she distances herself from her family – making it difficult to face real-life challenges or maintain genuine human connections.
